Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Carlos Alberto Moreira started the match with the kick off. Fábio Cearense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Remo Senna might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jeremias Pombal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Remo Senna ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 8th minute, Remo Senna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Carlos Alberto Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carlos Alberto Moreira during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 19th match minute, Capana EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Alberto Moreira to maneuver through the defense. Valdomiro Cabral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Alberto Moreira in the 25th minute of play. In the 33rd minute of the match Paulinho Baptista sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jeremias Pombal skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Jacarau SC's zone, Cléberson Fernandes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valdomiro Cabral came out of the goal and Cléberson Fernandes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlos Alberto Moreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdomiro Cabral having to interfere. Jeremias Pombal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remo Senna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Remo Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Jeremias Pombal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Remo Senna made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remo Senna in the 54th minute of play forced Capana EC's goalkeeper Jeremias Pombal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 57 in the game by Cléberson Fernandes from a close distance when the talented Valdomiro Cabral managed to make a qualified save. Jacarau SC's players were relieved. 60 minutes into the match, Abel Mesquita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jeremias Pombal. Capana EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Abel Mesquita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Capana EC's Jeremias Pombal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remo Senna in the 64th minute of play. Abel Mesquita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 67 minutes, Carlos Alberto Moreira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Capana EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Alberto Moreira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jeremias Pombal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gugu Cavalcante, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 73 minutes into the match, Capana EC's goal looked a bit too open when Remo Senna came free, but Jeremias Pombal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Carlos Alberto Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valdomiro Cabral made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlos Alberto Moreira in the 79th minute. Abel Mesquita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jeremias Pombal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. Abel Mesquita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Alberto Moreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tony Mendonça charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tony Mendonça the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 95 played minutes Capana EC got a freekick which was hit by Tony Mendonça. It was beautiful to see Jacarau SC's Bernardo Pires in action when he in the 97th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Jacarau SC had won after a very even match.
