Emborai FC's Douglas Valadares got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zé Alvarenga during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tostão Munhoz in the 16th minute of play forced Emborai FC's goalkeeper Dalmo Alagoano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emborai FC's Dalmo Alagoano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tostão Munhoz in the 17th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Tostão Munhoz fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Dalmo Alagoano, passed just outside the right post. A hard shot 26 in the game by Tostão Munhoz from a close distance when the talented Dalmo Alagoano managed to make a qualified save. Emborai FC's players were relieved. In the 28th minute, Retirinho's Tiago Seco ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dalmo Alagoano. Dalmo Alagoano yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Tostão Munhoz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Dalmo Alagoano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Caetano Tande took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Luís Fabiano Lopes. Retirinho's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Emborai FC's Dalmo Alagoano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Emborai FC from getting a goal against them. Eurico Santana charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eurico Santana the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Eurico Santana kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. In the 46th minute, Tostão Munhoz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tostão Munhoz to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Emborai FC's Douglas Valadares sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luís Fabiano Lopes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 67th minute, Retirinho's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Douglas Valadares fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Zézinho Jacinto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Emborai FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Zézinho Jacinto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís Fabiano Lopes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Emborai FC's Eurico Santana got his second yellow card of the match in the 74th minute.
