Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Célio Matos took the kick off in the first half of the match. Osvaldinho de Amorim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Róbson Figueiredo in the 10th minute. When Róbson Figueiredo came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Girau fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Róbson Figueiredo couldn't finish the play. Osvaldinho de Amorim was out of position in the 17 minute of play, and Arnaldo Matorin capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Arnaldo Matorin really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Róbson Figueiredo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Osvaldinho de Amorim made a huge save. Célio Matos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Nico Paraíba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nico Paraíba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caio de Amorim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute, Arnaldo Matorin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Girau fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. 48 minutes into the match, E.C Siderurgico's Caio de Amorim sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nico Paraíba narrowly saved just below the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Caio de Amorim managed to get in a good position for a shot. E.C Siderurgico's supporters rose to their feet, but Caio de Amorim was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nico Paraíba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Caio de Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Caio de Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nico Paraíba having to interfere. Célio Matos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Nico Paraíba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Girau's zone, Caio de Amorim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nico Paraíba came out of the goal and Caio de Amorim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Caio de Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Róbson Figueiredo in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Osvaldinho de Amorim saved E.C Siderurgico from getting behind. After a rather tough play, E.C Siderurgico's Delfim Mota got a free kick in the 90th minute. After a defensive mix-up in E.C Siderurgico's zone, Róbson Figueiredo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osvaldinho de Amorim came out of the goal and Róbson Figueiredo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Célio Matos was extremely unlucky when he, in the 95th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out.
