Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Robinho Madureira in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oscar Soeiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Maurinho de Queiroz came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Estrela Azul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurinho de Queiroz couldn't finish the play. Thomás Mattos succeeded in the game's 21st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. Alfredão Paranaense kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. It was beautiful to see Purma's César Branco in action when he in the 27th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! The supporters of Purma booed when Estrela Azul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexsandro Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Thomás Mattos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Geraldo Mesquita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Afonso Vergílio having to make a save. In the 38th minute, Alexsandro Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Purma's Thomás Mattos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Afonso Vergílio. That made the score 3-0 after 42 minutes of play. Geraldo Mesquita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Afonso Vergílio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Afonso Vergílio came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Purma's Thomás Mattos. But to his dismay, Thomás Mattos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Ademir Lima hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After 68 played minutes Purma got a freekick which was hit by Tiago Gabriel Mota. Maurinho de Queiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Soeiro having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Tiago Gabriel Mota hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Robinho Madureira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geraldo Mesquita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Estrela Azul's zone, Thomás Mattos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afonso Vergílio came out of the goal and Thomás Mattos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 84 minutes into the match, Geraldo Mesquita notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Estrela Azul's Afonso Vergílio. Afonso Vergílio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomás Mattos in the 88th minute of play forced Estrela Azul's goalkeeper Afonso Vergílio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 91 minutes into the game, Ademir Lima was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Estrela Azul's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Purma the free kick. In the 91st minute, Ademir Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd minute of the match César Branco sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Afonso Vergílio skillfully saved the ball. Oscar Soeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurinho de Queiroz in the 95th minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Purma had played much better football throughout.
