Afonso Vergílio was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Régis Lucas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 15 minute of play. Robinho Madureira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Passarao's Perivaldo Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robinho Madureira in the 22nd minute of play. When Robinho Madureira came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Estrela Azul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robinho Madureira couldn't finish the play. Gilberto Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 29 minutes, Gilberto Gonçalves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Passarao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilberto Gonçalves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gilberto Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 35 played minutes Gilberto Gonçalves rounded Estrela Azul's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robinho Madureira in the 39th minute of play forced Passarao's goalkeeper Perivaldo Reis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romário Aguiar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gilberto Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Afonso Vergílio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Romário Aguiar struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Afonso Vergílio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Passarao. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

When Alexsandro Castro fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Estrela Azul's protests and gave Alexsandro Castro a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Estrela Azul's Alexsandro Castro got a free kick in the 55th minute. Gilberto Gonçalves spun around in front of the goal 58 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Estrela Azul's goal. In the 69thth minute of the game Gilberto Gonçalves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Estrela Azul's Afonso Vergílio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Estrela Azul defense, Romário Aguiar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Afonso Vergílio. The Estrela Azul fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Afonso Vergílio should have stopped the shot. Romário Aguiar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Gilberto Gonçalves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Afonso Vergílio was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Afonso Vergílio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Romário Aguiar's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Perivaldo Reis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurinho de Queiroz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 84 minutes, Natã Lara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Passarao and the Estrela Azul players grew even worse after the yellow card. Estrela Azul's Maurinho de Queiroz got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 88th minute, Maurinho de Queiroz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 90th minute, Maurinho de Queiroz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Perivaldo Reis. The goal made the score 4-1. Romário Aguiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Vergílio having to interfere. There was no doubt that Passarao were the better team. Passarao's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
