Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Thomás Mattos started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Nelson de Carvalho came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Purma's Thomás Mattos. But to his dismay, Thomás Mattos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The supporters of Mostarda booed when Purma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waldemar Santana didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Purma fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when Purma's Geraldo Mesquita looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Nelson de Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geraldo Mesquita in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Eugênio Torres fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Benê Penha hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Thomás Mattos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelson de Carvalho having to interfere. Thomás Mattos struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Nelson de Carvalho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Purma. Geraldo Mesquita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute, Adalmo Pereira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 47 minutes into the game, Purma's Geraldo Mesquita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nelson de Carvalho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eugênio Torres to make the kick off. A hard shot by César Branco from long distance, 55 minutes into the match, got Nelson de Carvalho's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Geraldo Mesquitas short, quick shot in the 60thth minute got Nelson de Carvalho to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Nelson de Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Veloso in the 70th minute of play. Geraldo Mesquita took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nelson de Carvalho. Nelson de Carvalho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Eugênio Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Oscar Soeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 78th minute Thomás Mattos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelson de Carvalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th minute, Ulisses Schmidt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Geraldo Mesquita might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nelson de Carvalho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Geraldo Mesquita ran back to his position shaking his head. Nelson de Carvalho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Geraldo Mesquita in the 88th minute. In the 90th minute, Eugênio Torres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Thomás Mattos in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nelson de Carvalho saved Mostarda from getting behind. Nelson de Carvalho stood somewhat misplaced when Thomás Mattos came free in front of goal and shot 0-6 to the left of him in the 97 minute. When the final whistle sounded Purma left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Mostarda.
