In the 3rd minute, Fred Sabóia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 6thth minute of the game Diego Forlan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ibitira FC's Juninho Eger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dietrich Esporte ClubeMZB's Diego Forlan got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ibitira FC's goalkeeper Juninho Eger, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Felipe de Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Julian Luzaide managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dietrich Esporte ClubeMZB's supporters rose to their feet, but Julian Luzaide was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juninho Eger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 24th minute, Nelson Pontes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romário Martins in the 26th minute of play forced Dietrich Esporte ClubeMZB's goalkeeper Franklin Ferraz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dietrich Esporte ClubeMZB's Franklin Ferraz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Dietrich Esporte ClubeMZB from getting a goal against them. In the 29th minute, Diego Forlan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juninho Eger was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 39 minutes into the match, Julian Luzaide had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Juninho Eger. Ibitira FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julian Luzaide was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Juninho Eger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dé Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Franklin Ferraz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe de Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Fellipe Ortiz's late challenge caught a Dietrich Esporte ClubeMZB's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fellipe Ortiz helped the player get up and apologised. Richard Pinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Juninho Eger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Dietrich Esporte ClubeMZB's Diego Forlan in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 96thth minute of the game Diego Forlan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ibitira FC's Juninho Eger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the final whistle sounded Dietrich Esporte ClubeMZB left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Ibitira FC.
