Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dráuzio Saldanha kicked off to start the match. Vasco da Gama F.C's attentive Zé Roberto Sabóia managed to snatch the ball when Arí Tasso made a throw-in in the 3rd minute of the game. Tanquiuho's William Mattos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mané Fernandez in the 8th minute of play. After having played for 11 minutes, Orlando Brodel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vasco da Gama F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orlando Brodel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luizão Guimarães kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Mateus Mineiro struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Luís Gustavo Marques didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tanquiuho. In the 18th minute of the match, Mateus Mineiro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Luís Gustavo Marques saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. William Mattos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mané Fernandez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mané Fernandez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without William Mattos having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Chico Maciel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 30 minutes in the game, Dráuzio Saldanha fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Luís Gustavo Marques having to interfere. Vasco da Gama F.C's defense didn't have a chance, in the 32nd minute, when Mateus Mineiro scored to the left of an out of position Luís Gustavo Marques, making the score, 1-0. Dráuzio Saldanha was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 38th minute. Tanquiuho's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Luizão Guimarães's late challenge caught a Vasco da Gama F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luizão Guimarães helped the player get up and apologised. In the 46th match minute, Tanquiuho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luizão Guimarães to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando Brodel in the 47th minute of play forced Tanquiuho's goalkeeper William Mattos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Orlando Brodel to strike the kick off in the second half. Mané Fernandez had several of the Tanquiuho's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 51 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed William Mattos as he didn't even see the shot coming. Orlando Brodel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. William Mattos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 57 minutes, Orlando Brodel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vasco da Gama F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orlando Brodel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of William Mattos, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Luís Gustavo Marques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luizão Guimarães in the 61st minute of play. The supporters of Tanquiuho booed when Vasco da Gama F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Didi Pimenta didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th match minute, Tanquiuho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedrão Vianna to maneuver through the defense. 71 minutes into the game, Tanquiuho's Arnaldo Teixeira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luís Gustavo Marques made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Luís Gustavo Marques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dráuzio Saldanha, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. William Mattos was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Orlando Brodel showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 76 minute of play. A very good chance. 88 minutes into the match, Arnaldo Teixeira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luís Gustavo Marques. Vasco da Gama F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arnaldo Teixeira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. The referee felt a red card was in order, 93 minutes into the game, when Zé Roberto Sabóia put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 92nd minute of the game. One of Vasco da Gama F.C:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tanquiuho:s goal. Pedrão Vianna walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Tanquiuho's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
