Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Pedro Paulo Santos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dedé Cabral read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. With a little luck, Monjolada's Dedé Cabral got control of the ball when Pedro Paulo Santos tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Engenheiros Químicos PE's zone, Armandinho Pena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vítor Quaresma came out of the goal and Armandinho Pena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dedé Cabral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Antunes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th minute, Baltazar de Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 14 played minutes Monjolada got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Moreira. Baltazar de Almeida got his second yellow card in the match during the 20th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Engenheiros Químicos PE getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Baltazar de Almeida hit a great ball. After having played for 25 minutes, Armandinho Pena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monjolada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armandinho Pena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Armandinho Pena managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monjolada's supporters rose to their feet, but Armandinho Pena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vítor Quaresma breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Engenheiros Químicos PE's Luís Antunes got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pedro Paulo Santos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dedé Cabral having to make a save. Pedro Paulo Santos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristiano Moreira to make the kick off. Luís Antunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Dedé Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Antunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 77 minutes into the match, Luís Antunes notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Monjolada's Dedé Cabral. Dedé Cabral was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pedro Paulo Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dedé Cabral having to interfere. Dedé Cabral didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luís Antunes went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Dedé Cabral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Paulo Santos in the 95th minute of the match.
