In the 27th match minute, Crato SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Víktor Veiga to maneuver through the defense. Renan de Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Rafael Secco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Renan de Queirós was the one to do the kick off. Waldir Rossi scored 0-2 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rafael Secco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Juvenal Soeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dráusio Vasconcelos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute Renan de Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Secco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 63rd minute by Renan de Queirós got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Renan de Queirós came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Crato SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Renan de Queirós couldn't finish the play. Renan de Queirós might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rafael Secco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Renan de Queirós ran back to his position shaking his head. Renan de Queirós's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rafael Secco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Crato SS's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
