Maximino Virila made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Oswaldo Amorim's late challenge caught a Black Storm's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oswaldo Amorim helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Bangu FM's Oswaldo Amorim got a free kick in the 9th minute. After having played for 11 minutes Marcinho Esteves got an excellent opportunity and fired away a shot on goal, but Maximino Virila was perfectly placed and executed a great save. After 12 minutes Bangu FM's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Marcinho Esteves who took care of the corner kick. After 13 played minutes Bangu FM got a freekick which was hit by Cauan de Mendonça. When Antônio Carlos Marinho fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bangu FM's protests and gave Antônio Carlos Marinho a yellow card for diving instead. 20 minutes into the match, Black Storm's goal looked a bit too open when Antônio Carlos Marinho came free, but Adhemar Loyola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maximino Virila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Germano Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. A collision led to Bangu FM getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Artur Trancoso hit a great ball. Maximino Virila was out of position in the 28 minute of play, and Samuca Reis capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Samuca Reis really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Oswaldo Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adhemar Loyola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antônio Carlos Marinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute, Cauan de Mendonça left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bangu FM fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Adhemar Loyola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antônio Carlos Marinho in the 45th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antônio Carlos Marinho to make the kick off. After 52 played minutes Bangu FM got a freekick which was hit by Juninho Vale. After 56 played minutes, Bangu FM's Artur Trancoso shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Adhemar Loyola came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bangu FM reached it. Adhemar Loyola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oswaldo Amorim, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. After 64 played minutes Bangu FM got a freekick which was hit by Juninho Vale. Antônio Carlos Marinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Germano Nascimento took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Maximino Virila. Maximino Virila dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Olívio Cardozo lost his temper 73 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Oswaldo Amorim shot the penalty kick right outside the post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hílton Queiroz got free with Adhemar Loyola in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Maximino Virila showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Eduardo Proença in the 77th minute of the match. Adhemar Loyola made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antônio Carlos Marinho in the 80th minute. Adhemar Loyola didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hílton Queiroz went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. If Germano Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adhemar Loyola was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Antônio Carlos Marinho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-3 in the 92 minute of play. Maximino Virila made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Eduardo Proença in the 96th minute of play.
