The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Concordia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tadeu Munhoz in the 7th minute. The corner ended in Tadeu Munhoz almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Pajeu EC's Benedito Penha did a great save. Jardel Ferraz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedito Penha having to interfere. Jefferson Peres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Benedito Penha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benedito Penha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jardel Ferraz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute of the match Concordia got a corner. Pajeu EC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tadeu Munhoz ran over to the corner to take the kick. 25 minutes into the game, Jefferson Peres cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Benedito Penha was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 30th minute, Edinho Neiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benedito Penha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jardel Ferraz in the 31st minute of the match. Benedito Penha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jardel Ferraz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jefferson Peres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jefferson Peres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedito Penha having to interfere. The Pajeu EC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Concordia were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pedro Messias to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the game, Jefferson Peres cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Benedito Penha was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristóvão Pinheiro got free with Benedito Penha in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jefferson Peres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedito Penha having to interfere. If Jefferson Peres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jefferson Peres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th minute Pedro Messias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrézinho Loureiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Pajeu EC's zone, Jardel Ferraz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benedito Penha came out of the goal and Jardel Ferraz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Andrézinho Loureiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Messias in the 80th minute of play. Benedito Penha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jardel Ferraz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Concordia's Jardel Ferraz got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 89 minutes into the game, one of Concordia:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 91st minute there was a penalty for Pajeu EC. Humberto Rosado stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Andrézinho Loureiro. 1-2. Jefferson Peres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jefferson Peres struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Benedito Penha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Concordia. When the match was over Concordia could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Pajeu EC throughout the match.
