Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Severino Tande got the match started through his kick off. 8 minutes into the game, Severino Tande cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Zé Paulo Gomes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Zé Paulo Gomes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severino Tande in the 13th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cléber Pena got free with Horácio Nóbrega in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 17 played minutes Sumidouro got a freekick which was hit by Eurico Quintal. 19 minutes into the match, Sumidouro's goal looked a bit too open when Sérgio Baiano came free, but Zé Paulo Gomes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Sumidouro's Cléber Pena sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Horácio Nóbrega narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 25th minute, Severino Tande ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zé Paulo Gomes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Severino Tande recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zé Paulo Gomes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severino Tande, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 33 minutes of play, Nhambiquara's Severino Tande made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zé Paulo Gomes was left in no man's land by his defense there! 39 minutes into the match, Severino Tande had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zé Paulo Gomes. Sumidouro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Severino Tande was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Horácio Nóbrega showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eurico Quintal in the 43rd minute of the match. Eurico Quintal's late challenge caught a Nhambiquara's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eurico Quintal helped the player get up and apologised. In the 45th minute, Eurico Quintal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sumidouro's goalkeeper Zé Paulo Gomes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Sumidouro players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Nhambiquara were winning 0-4.

Sérgio Baiano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Zé Paulo Gomes made a huge save. Cléber Pena blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Horácio Nóbrega having to make a save. Sumidouro's Zé Paulo Gomes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severino Tande in the 58th minute of play. Eurico Quintal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Horácio Nóbrega tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cléber Pena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Tande in the 67th minute of play forced Sumidouro's goalkeeper Zé Paulo Gomes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Sérgio Baiano came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Nhambiquara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sérgio Baiano couldn't finish the play. Zé Paulo Gomes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severino Tande, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. If Sérgio Baiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Nhambiquara players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
