Marcos Alcântara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrianinho Luz in the 17th minute of the match. Lauro de Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lauro de Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinei Carioca having to interfere. Aílton Favoretto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Claudinei Carioca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lauro de Alcântara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Claudinei Carioca made a huge save. Acácio Proença kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lauro de Alcântara got free with Claudinei Carioca in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Patrício Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

If Aílton Favoretto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudinei Carioca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lauro de Alcântara in the 53rd minute of the match. Claudinei Carioca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilberto Arantes, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 57thth minute of the game Adrianinho Luz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Baje EC's Marcos Alcântara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Maruda's Sandro Proença got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 62ndth minute of the game Lauro de Alcântara who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Maruda's Claudinei Carioca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Claudinei Carioca stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aílton Favoretto's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. After 67 played minutes Maruda got a freekick which was hit by Mathias Sarmento. After 70 minutes Maruda's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Narciso da Fonseca who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Narciso da Fonseca got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Claudinei Carioca quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aílton Favoretto in the 75th minute of play forced Maruda's goalkeeper Claudinei Carioca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Maruda's goalkeeper Claudinei Carioca, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Acácio Proença fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Baje EC's protests and gave Acácio Proença a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Baje EC's Acácio Proença got a free kick in the 82nd minute. The supporters of Baje EC booed when Maruda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandro Proença didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mathias Sarmento's late challenge caught a Baje EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mathias Sarmento helped the player get up and apologised. In the 92nd match minute, Maruda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathias Sarmento to maneuver through the defense. Narciso da Fonseca was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 93rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal.
