The supporters of Imbirucu EC booed when Joaci was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Luiz Catarinense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edmundo Faustino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Lima having to interfere. 10 minutes into the game, Imbirucu EC's Luiz Guilherme Fontes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nuno Lima made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Luiz Guilherme Fontes might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nuno Lima. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luiz Guilherme Fontes ran back to his position shaking his head. Danilo Antunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Joaci's Pedro Luís Mazza in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Imbirucu EC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 31st minute Pedro Luís Mazza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Paulo Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Danilo Antunes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of José Paulo Leão when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 38 minutes into the game, Imbirucu EC's Luiz Guilherme Fontes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nuno Lima made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Imbirucu EC's José Paulo Leão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Imbirucu EC from getting a goal against them. José Paulo Leão made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Danilo Antunes sent off a good shot on target.

Eduardo Pinheiro kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. A collision led to Joaci getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Danilo Antunes hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Guilherme Fontes in the 68th minute of play forced Joaci's goalkeeper Nuno Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Imbirucu EC's José Paulo Leão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natã Teixeira in the 80th minute of play. The supporters of Imbirucu EC booed when Joaci was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauro Duarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Luiz Guilherme Fontes fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Imbirucu EC's protests and gave Luiz Guilherme Fontes a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Joaci's Mauro Duarte got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Joaci's Nuno Lima proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Joaci from getting a goal against them. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
