Júlio Abraão kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. After 19 minutes, Luiz Barbosa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ipiabas and the Feirinha EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 19th minute, one of Ipiabas:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ipiabas. In the 26th minute, Jefferson Antunes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ipiabas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Erik Carioca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dudu Ramos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 32 minutes into the match, Feirinha EC's goal looked a bit too open when Jefferson Antunes came free, but Erik Carioca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erik Carioca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dudu Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 35th minute Dudu Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erik Carioca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 38 minutes, Jefferson Antunes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ipiabas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jefferson Antunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 46th minute, Luiz Barbosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nilson Zanette made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Richard Goiano sent off a good shot on target.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dudu Ramos to make the kick off. When Clóvis Matorin came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Feirinha EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clóvis Matorin couldn't finish the play. In the 59th minute, Doriva Netto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62nd minute, Murillo Mangueira reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Erik Carioca. The goal made the score 1-2. Jefferson Antunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute, Feirinha EC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jefferson Antunes fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Erik Carioca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jefferson Antunes in the 74th minute. With an all-out effort, Ipiabas's Erik Carioca threw himself towards the right post 93 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dudu Ramos, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The Ipiabas players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
