Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Guapira's Betinho Peres started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Fogo Dourado's Joélson Capixaba got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Guapira's goalkeeper Fernandinho da Mata, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 6 minutes of play, Guapira's Betinho Peres made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. David Guerra was left in no man's land by his defense there! 10 minutes into the match, Fogo Dourado's goal looked a bit too open when Betinho Peres came free, but David Guerra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th match minute, Fogo Dourado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vitinho Paiva to maneuver through the defense. Edmílson de Azevedo struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. David Guerra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guapira. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ulysses Pernambucano during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Betinho Peres might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over David Guerra. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Betinho Peres ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Fogo Dourado getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Perivaldo Prestes hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Fogo Dourado's zone, Edmílson de Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Guerra came out of the goal and Edmílson de Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 67th minute Gualter do Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernandinho da Mata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Joélson Capixaba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 73 played minutes Guapira got a freekick which was hit by João Cerezo. Gualter do Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Fernandinho da Mata came out of the goal and Joélson Capixaba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ulysses Pernambucano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without David Guerra having to make a save. Edmílson de Azevedo struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. David Guerra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guapira. When Betinho Peres came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Guapira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Betinho Peres couldn't finish the play. In the 84th minute, Betinho Peres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ulysses Pernambucano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gualter do Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Fernandinho da Mata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ulysses Pernambucano kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match.
