The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jerônimo Jacinto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mané Secco in the 3rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelson Brodel in the 6th minute of play forced We Brothers's goalkeeper Patrick Faria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bogdan Chiru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cássio da Mata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerônimo Jacinto having to interfere. Aluísio Leão hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bogdan Chiru got free with Patrick Faria in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 25 minutes into the game, Flamengoooo's Bogdan Chiru nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Patrick Faria made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. A collision led to We Brothers getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Ronaldão de Senna hit a great ball. If Nelson Brodel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd match minute, Flamengoooo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nelson Brodel to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bogdan Chiru got free with Patrick Faria in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

After having played for 54 minutes, Nelson Brodel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Flamengoooo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nelson Brodel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Flamengoooo's Bogdan Chiru got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 64 minutes had been played when some careless play by We Brothers's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Amadeu Favoretto was slow to take the kick. During this time Flamengoooo's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Amadeu Favoretto almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but We Brothers's Patrick Faria did a great save. 65 minutes into the match, Bogdan Chiru had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Patrick Faria. We Brothers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bogdan Chiru was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Nelson Brodel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Patrick Faria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Patrick Faria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bogdan Chiru in the 74th minute of the match. Cássio da Mata charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cássio da Mata the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to We Brothers getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Cássio da Mata hit a great ball. 80 minutes into the game, Flamengoooo's Bogdan Chiru nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Patrick Faria made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. We Brothers's Patrick Faria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bogdan Chiru in the 83rd minute of play. Patrick Faria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nelson Brodel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in We Brothers's zone, Nelson Brodel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patrick Faria came out of the goal and Nelson Brodel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind We Brothers's goalkeeper Patrick Faria, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 99th minute, Nelson Brodel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
