Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Giuseppe Leme started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Dematha Atletico Clube's zone, Giuseppe Leme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodolfo Salles came out of the goal and Giuseppe Leme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elano dos Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Erivaldo Lopez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Jarbas Alvarenga made a huge save. Cubati's Giuseppe Leme got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wilton Pitta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rodolfo Salles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Elano dos Santos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 27th minute, Rodrigo Rosado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erivaldo Lopez was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 32nd minute. Dematha Atletico Clube's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Jarbas Alvarenga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erivaldo Lopez in the 40th minute of the match. Tostão Sá kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Rodolfo Salles stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Giuseppe Leme's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Erivaldo Lopez made the kick off in the second half. Dematha Atletico Clube's Rodolfo Salles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giuseppe Leme in the 65th minute of play. A collision led to Dematha Atletico Clube getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Toninho Vieira hit a great ball. Giuseppe Leme was extremely unlucky when he, in the 69th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 70th minute, Toninho Vieira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 72 minutes, Simão Cerezo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cubati and the Dematha Atletico Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Erivaldo Lopez put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jarbas Alvarenga. Wilton Pitta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Salles having to interfere. 88 minutes into the match, Cubati's goal looked a bit too open when Erivaldo Lopez came free, but Jarbas Alvarenga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Cubati defense, Elano dos Santos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jarbas Alvarenga. The Cubati fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jarbas Alvarenga should have stopped the shot. Dematha Atletico Clube's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
