In the 13th match minute, Quitimbu AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edvaldo Romero to maneuver through the defense. Edgar Rosa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oscar Favoretto's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. In the 20th match minute, SIEBENELF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afonsinho Vidal to maneuver through the defense. The Quitimbu AD fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when Quitimbu AD's Oscar Favoretto looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Quitimbu AD's Oscar Favoretto in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Oscar Favoretto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Rosa having to interfere. 47 minutes into the game, Pedrinho Sergipano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Mário de Azevedo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Oscar Favoretto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Lauro Pereira came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Quitimbu AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lauro Pereira couldn't finish the play. After 56 played minutes SIEBENELF got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fabiano Aparecido. In a very dangerous position, a player in SIEBENELF fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 59th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 61 minutes, Quitimbu AD's Diamantino Mineiro got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Edgar Rosa. After having played for 64 minutes, Oscar Favoretto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quitimbu AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oscar Favoretto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 67 minutes into the match, Quitimbu AD's Elder Garcia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edgar Rosa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 79 minutes into the match, Quitimbu AD's goal looked a bit too open when Pedrinho Sergipano came free, but Mário de Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, Tostão das Neves had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mário de Azevedo. Quitimbu AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tostão das Neves was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-5. When Zé Roberto Peixoto fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Quitimbu AD's protests and gave Zé Roberto Peixoto a yellow card for diving instead. Mário de Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedrinho Sergipano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oscar Favoretto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Edgar Rosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roberto Pirani kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Quitimbu AD's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
