The supporters of Unidos do Pé Vermelho booed when SIEBENELF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romeu Loyola didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dedé Velasco in the 5thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Edgar Rosa, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 9th minute, Víktor Alcântara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fiori Paiva was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 10th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. SIEBENELF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedrinho Sergipano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Claudinei Breckenfeld fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Rosa having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Claudinei Breckenfeld dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Edgar Rosa, 1-0. Edgar Rosa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dedé Velasco in the 32nd minute. With a little luck, SIEBENELF's Edgar Rosa got control of the ball when Dedé Velasco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Unidos do Pé Vermelho's Claudinei Breckenfeld got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 46th match minute, SIEBENELF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Mesquita to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The wind increased when Tostão das Neves made the kick off in the second half. SIEBENELF's Edgar Rosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Souto in the 55th minute of play. Tostão das Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Sílvio Albuquerque tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute, Nildo de Lara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Claudinei Breckenfeld fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Rosa having to interfere. In the 71st minute, André Mesquita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in SIEBENELF's zone, Claudinei Breckenfeld stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgar Rosa came out of the goal and Claudinei Breckenfeld tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Unidos do Pé Vermelho fans' excitement grew in the 75th match minute when Unidos do Pé Vermelho's Dedé Velasco looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Dedé Velasco took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edgar Rosa. Edgar Rosa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Claudinei Breckenfeld fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Rosa having to interfere. Edgar Rosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dedé Velasco in the 88th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Unidos do Pé Vermelho's Claudinei Breckenfeld sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edgar Rosa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dedé Velasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Rosa having to interfere. Edgar Rosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dedé Velasco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Unidos do Pé Vermelho fully deserved thier win.
