Fernando Alvarenga kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that José Carlos Nogueira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eriberto Tepedino was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. Eriberto Tepedino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dênis Moraes went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Vítor de Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo José Tróia in the 11th minute of the match. In the 14thth minute of the game Paulo José Tróia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jumentus's Vítor de Almeida was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Jumentus's goalkeeper Vítor de Almeida had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Duarte Alves. José Carlos Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. José Carlos Nogueira struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Eriberto Tepedino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jumentus. In the 28th minute, José Carlos Nogueira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zé Carlos França in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eriberto Tepedino saved Gramados from getting behind. Zé Carlos França fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eriberto Tepedino having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 38th minute of the game. One of Gramados:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Jumentus:s goal. In the 40th minute there was a penalty for Jumentus. Douglas Siqueira stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Eriberto Tepedino. 0-2. Eriberto Tepedino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Carlos França, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Sydney Mendes charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sydney Mendes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Gramados getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Sydney Mendes hit a great ball. José Carlos Nogueira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eriberto Tepedino having to make a save. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paulo José Tróia was the one to do the kick off. Paulo José Tróia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jumentus's José Carlos Nogueira got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eriberto Tepedino made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Zé Carlos França sent off a good shot on target. Vítor de Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Duarte Alves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eriberto Tepedino stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Carlos Nogueira's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Eriberto Tepedino made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Zé Carlos França sent off a good shot on target. Vítor de Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo José Tróia in the 87th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Gramados's Sydney Mendes got a free kick in the 90th minute. José Carlos Nogueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eriberto Tepedino having to interfere. Gramados's Eriberto Tepedino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Gramados from getting a goal against them. Jumentus played a much better game than Gramados and deserved their victory. The Gramados players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
