Dário Urbano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 7th minute Jean Linares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lenílson do Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luiz Paulo Koehler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jean Linares in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lenílson do Vale saved Maringa SC from getting behind. If Dário Urbano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 0-1 became the score in the 22nd minute when Jean Linares elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Gláuber Galvão kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Jean Linares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sua Mae FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jean Linares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lenílson do Vale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Lenílson Schmidt fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maringa SC's protests and gave Lenílson Schmidt a yellow card for diving instead. After 32 played minutes Maringa SC got a freekick which was hit by Lenílson Schmidt. Jean Linares struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Lenílson do Vale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sua Mae FC. After a rather tough play, Maringa SC's Iuri Donato got a free kick in the 35th minute. 38 minutes into the match, Maringa SC's goal looked a bit too open when Dário Urbano came free, but Lenílson do Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jean Linares in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lenílson do Vale saved Maringa SC from getting behind. Arí de Amorim charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arí de Amorim the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lenílson do Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dário Urbano, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The supporters of Maringa SC booed when Sua Mae FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Paulo Koehler didn't get a good kick on the ball. João Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustavo da Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Lenílson do Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jean Linares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 62 minutes in the game, Jean Linares fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Lenílson do Vale having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Sua Mae FC's Reginaldo Munhoz seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Reginaldo Munhoz the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Sua Mae FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Reginaldo Munhoz had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 66 minutes into the game, one of Sua Mae FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 76 minutes into the match, Maringa SC's goalkeeper Lenílson do Vale had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luiz Paulo Koehler. Lenílson do Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dário Urbano, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. After 80 played minutes Maringa SC got a freekick which was hit by Arí de Amorim. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Maringa SC's goalkeeper Lenílson do Vale, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Luiz Paulo Koehler came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Sua Mae FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Paulo Koehler couldn't finish the play. If Dário Urbano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lenílson do Vale made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Dário Urbano sent off a good shot on target. Sua Mae FC's João Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo da Fonseca in the 95th minute of play. The Maringa SC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sua Mae FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
