Iguaba FC's Zé Roberto Quadros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kauã Ramos in the 19th minute of play. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Iguaba FC's goalkeeper Zé Roberto Quadros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Michel Freitas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Roberto Quadros having to interfere. When Marcelo Almeida fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cassiano EC's protests and gave Marcelo Almeida a yellow card for diving instead. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell José Severo to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Joel Souto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Iguaba FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cassiano EC the free kick. Michel Freitas succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 74th playminute.
