Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Eliézer Meira took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the match, Contrato FC's goalkeeper Amauri Aguiar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Doriva Peres. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Marcel Neiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Contrato FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcel Neiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexandre da Silva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alexandre da Silva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcel Neiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amauri Aguiar made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Bruninho Freire sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Euclides FC booed when Contrato FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artur Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Contrato FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Artur Lopes hit a great ball. Alexandre da Silva came out of the goal in the 23rd minute to try and stop a shot by Contrato FC's Eliézer Meira. But to his dismay, Eliézer Meira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The supporters of Euclides FC booed when Contrato FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernandinho de Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 29 minutes, Gilson Barbosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Euclides FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilson Barbosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Euclides FC's Doriva Peres slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Amauri Aguiar. That made the score 1-2 after 32 minutes of play. With an all-out effort, Euclides FC's Amauri Aguiar threw himself towards the right post 37 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gilson Barbosa, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 38th minute, Evandro Monteiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Doriva Peres who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Amauri Aguiar when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Euclides FC's Telmo Viana got a free kick in the 41st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcel Neiva in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alexandre da Silva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 43rd minute, Dagoberto de Queirós got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gilson Barbosa was the one to do the kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Telmo Viana had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amauri Aguiar. Contrato FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Telmo Viana was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Alexandre da Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliézer Meira in the 66th minute of play. Marcel Neivas short, quick shot in the 69thth minute got Alexandre da Silva to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Eliézer Meira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre da Silva having to interfere. Alexandre da Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliézer Meira in the 80th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Marcelo Amaral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alexandre da Silva was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Eliézer Meira. Eliézer Meira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dadá Paranaense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
