If Cristian Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernandinho Veloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Durval de Lima having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Armando Pimenta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valério Meirelless short, quick shot in the 22ndth minute got Durval de Lima to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With his leg Durval de Lima managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when Carios EC's Valério Meirelles fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Armando Pimenta's late challenge caught a Carios EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Armando Pimenta helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, NAPALM DEATH's Armando Pimenta got a free kick in the 24th minute. Filipe Brito hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Nilmar Fantini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Durval de Lima made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Valério Meirelles sent off a good shot on target. In the 35th match minute, NAPALM DEATH was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Pimenta to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 42 in the game by Valério Meirelles from a close distance when the talented Durval de Lima managed to make a qualified save. NAPALM DEATH's players were relieved. Fernandinho Veloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Durval de Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Manuel Silveira made the kick off in the second half. Manuel Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 56 minutes, Cristian Paraibano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. NAPALM DEATH's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Paraibano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fernandinho Veloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute, Fernandinho Veloso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Durval de Lima was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Valério Meirelles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carios EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Valério Meirelles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Durval de Lima breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Armando Pimenta got his second yellow card in the match during the 81st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to NAPALM DEATH getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Armando Pimenta hit a great ball. Fernandinho Veloso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Durval de Lima having to make a save. Valério Meirelles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 91st minute of the game. One of NAPALM DEATH:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Carios EC:s goal. Donato Meira shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Fernandinho Veloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Durval de Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Carios EC fans cheered their team off the field, for while NAPALM DEATH had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
