Nico Barros charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Lenílson Palmeira came out of the goal and Narciso Schmidt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nando do Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Sydney Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 11 minutes into the game, Thomás de Alcântara was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Muquicaba's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Felipe do Rufa City the free kick. After a rather tough play, Muquicaba's Thomás de Alcântara got a free kick in the 11th minute. After 13 minutes, Edmílson Veiga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Muquicaba and the Felipe do Rufa City players grew even worse after the yellow card. Edmílson Veiga kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 18th minute Edmílson Veiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sydney Lara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulo Renato Gaúcho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Lenílson Palmeira made a huge save. Baltazar Dantas hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. If Edmílson Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Felipe do Rufa City getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Fabinho Lopes hit a great ball. Paulo Renato Gaúcho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lenílson Palmeira having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Muquicaba's goalkeeper Lenílson Palmeira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paulo Renato Gaúcho. The audience was convinced that Narciso Schmidt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lenílson Palmeira was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. 42 minutes into the match, Muquicaba's goal looked a bit too open when Narciso Schmidt came free, but Lenílson Palmeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Narciso Schmidt came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Felipe do Rufa City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Narciso Schmidt couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When Felipe do Rufa City's Narciso Schmidt in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulo Renato Gaúcho in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lenílson Palmeira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Samuel Custódio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Sydney Lara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edmílson Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sydney Lara having to interfere. Narciso Schmidt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lenílson Palmeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Renato Gaúcho in the 73rd minute of the match. Muquicaba's Lenílson Palmeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narciso Schmidt in the 75th minute of play.
