When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Didi Amorim took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Peyo Mirantes to make any attempt to save it. São Pedro Atlético Clube's Peyo Mirantes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save São Pedro Atlético Clube from getting a goal against them. Vicente Maciel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peyo Mirantes having to interfere. São Pedro Atlético Clube's Elias da Cunha got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Alexandrita EC's goalkeeper João Dias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ulisses Pimenta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Dias having to interfere. A collision led to Alexandrita EC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Emerson Moreno hit a great ball. The Alexandrita EC fans' excitement grew in the 36th match minute when Alexandrita EC's Gilson Pena looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Through an outstanding action, after 41 minutes, Peyo Mirantes successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Maciel in the 43rd minute of play forced São Pedro Atlético Clube's goalkeeper Peyo Mirantes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Albertinho Arantes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peyo Mirantes having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Didi Amorim made a kick off. Ulisses Pimenta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Didi Amorim in the 54th minute of play forced São Pedro Atlético Clube's goalkeeper Peyo Mirantes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. São Pedro Atlético Clube's Peyo Mirantes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emerson Moreno in the 58th minute of play. After a rather tough play, São Pedro Atlético Clube's Percy Lara got a free kick in the 59th minute. Ulisses Pimenta hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the São Pedro Atlético Clube defense, Emerson Moreno kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Peyo Mirantes. The São Pedro Atlético Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Peyo Mirantes should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Maciel in the 71st minute of play forced São Pedro Atlético Clube's goalkeeper Peyo Mirantes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Percy Lara hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. 74 minutes into the match, Alexandrita EC's Gilson Pena sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Peyo Mirantes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 76th minute Didi Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peyo Mirantes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peyo Mirantes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emerson Moreno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84th match minute, Alexandrita EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank Vale to maneuver through the defense. Elias da Cunha took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 85th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for João Dias. Alexandrita EC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Ulisses Pimenta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilson Pena in the 94th minute of play forced São Pedro Atlético Clube's goalkeeper Peyo Mirantes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
