Jeferson Baptista's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cléberson Montenegro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. Jano Trigos short, quick shot in the 6thth minute got Bernardinho Brito to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jeferson Baptista scored 1-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cléberson Montenegro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jeferson Baptista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cléberson Montenegro having to interfere. Bernardinho Brito made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Jano Trigo sent off a good shot on target. After 25th play minutes Vladimir de Queiroz shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Cléberson Montenegro and just under the crossbar into goal. If Daniel Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Jano Trigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the match, Josefina SS's goalkeeper Bernardinho Brito had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jano Trigo. Cléberson Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeferson Baptista in the 42nd minute of play. A collision led to Macaubas FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Nando Quintal hit a great ball. Cléberson Montenegro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeferson Baptista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vladimir de Queiroz in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cléberson Montenegro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Jano Trigo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bernardinho Brito was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. After some careless play in the Josefina SS defense, Jano Trigo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernardinho Brito. The Josefina SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernardinho Brito should have stopped the shot. Vladimir de Queiroz might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cléberson Montenegro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vladimir de Queiroz ran back to his position shaking his head. When Luiz Eduardo Tasso came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Macaubas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Eduardo Tasso couldn't finish the play. When Josefina SS's Vladimir de Queiroz in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Macaubas FC's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jano Trigo in the 75th minute of play forced Josefina SS's goalkeeper Bernardinho Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Josefina SS's Mateus Gerber got a free kick in the 76th minute. 80 minutes into the match, Macaubas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vladimir de Queiroz came free, but Cléberson Montenegro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Jano Trigo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bernardinho Brito was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jeferson Baptista got free with Cléberson Montenegro in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 96th minute, Vladimir de Queiroz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cléberson Montenegro was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Josefina SS had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
