Genílson dos Santos struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Alexandre Trigo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Petunia. An unexpectedly hard shot by Genílson dos Santos in the 9th minute of play forced Biribeira's goalkeeper Alexandre Trigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Petunia's Frédson de Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mané Guimarães in the 13th minute of play. João Pedro Marques in the 16thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Alexandre Trigo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Iuri Salles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benê Koehler hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Frédson de Andrade showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mané Guimarães, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Benê Koehler charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benê Koehler the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Benê Koehler hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Petunia's zone, Iuri Salles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frédson de Andrade came out of the goal and Iuri Salles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 32nd minute of the match Júlio Rocha sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alexandre Trigo skillfully saved the ball. Alexandre Trigo stood somewhat misplaced when Genílson dos Santos came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 38 minute. 44 minutes into the match, Biribeira's Mané Guimarães sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Frédson de Andrade narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mané Guimarães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Frédson de Andrade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raúl Abreu charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raúl Abreu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 48 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Petunia! Frédson de Andrade had in the 50thth minute some difficulties stopping Wilian Quintal's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Genílson dos Santos made a kick off. Iuri Salles charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iuri Salles the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Biribeira getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Iuri Salles hit a great ball. In the 64th minute João Pedro Marques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Trigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iuri Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Frédson de Andrade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Mané Guimarães came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Biribeira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mané Guimarães couldn't finish the play. Alexandre Trigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Pedro Marques in the 72nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Genílson dos Santos in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alexandre Trigo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mané Guimarães in the 83rd minute of play forced Petunia's goalkeeper Frédson de Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mané Guimarães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Frédson de Andrade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alexandre Trigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Genílson dos Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute João Pedro Marques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Trigo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mané Guimarães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Many of Biribeira's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Biribeira may have spent more time on the ball, but Petunia were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
