Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Marcus Sabóia started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Cafesal SS's Pedro Paulo de Carvalho quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Raimundo Borges, made in the 3rd minute of the game. In the 5th minute of the match Júlio Donato sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Basílio Goiano skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Cafesal SS's Marcus Sabóia got a free kick in the 6th minute. Abel Machado struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Frederico Barbosa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for uT5. The supporters of uT5 booed when Cafesal SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio Donato didn't get a good kick on the ball. José Maria Arantes took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Basílio Goiano. Basílio Goiano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 32 minutes into the match, Cafesal SS's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Machado came free, but Frederico Barbosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Abel Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Walmyr Batista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Frederico Barbosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abel Machado scored 1-1 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Frederico Barbosa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abel Machado to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 60th minute, Armindo da Silveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abel Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frederico Barbosa having to interfere. Raimundo Borges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frederico Barbosa having to interfere. Basílio Goiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcus Sabóia in the 75th minute of play. After 76 played minutes uT5 got a freekick which was hit by Silvinho Andrade. Raimundo Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Frederico Barbosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abel Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard, long distance shot from Abel Machado flew over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Cafesal SS's zone, Abel Machado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frederico Barbosa came out of the goal and Abel Machado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The uT5 manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Cafesal SS to win.
