The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Cido Loyola didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Décio Guedes went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Danilo Paraibano hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Eriberto Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. In the 55th minute, Felippe de Barros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Rômulo Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cido Loyola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felippe de Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arcelino's Cido Loyola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felippe de Barros in the 62nd minute of play. A collision led to Meladinho FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. João Francisco Teixeira hit a great ball. Belmiro de Godoy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eriberto Torres in the 67th minute of play. When Vitinho Lucas came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Arcelino fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vitinho Lucas couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Arcelino booed when Meladinho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Virgílio Proença didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Eriberto Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arcelino's supporters rose to their feet, but Eriberto Torres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vitinho Lucas got free with Belmiro de Godoy in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Meladinho FC's goalkeeper Belmiro de Godoy, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 99th match minute, Meladinho FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgílio Proença to maneuver through the defense.
