Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) After a rather tough play, Progresso's José Abreu got a free kick in the 5th minute. Carlos Eduardo das Neves, 6 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a rather tough play, Progresso's Fred de Mendonça got a free kick in the 11th minute. When Samuel Rocha, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 12 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Luís Fernando Viana was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Progresso's zone, Umberto Alves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Fernando Viana came out of the goal and Umberto Alves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Perivaldo Meira charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Perivaldo Meira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Perivaldo Meira kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Samuel Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The nice shot from Umberto Alves in the 28thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Luís Fernando Viana had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. If Gernando Ortiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilberto Santana in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luiz Fabiano Godoi saved REAL IMPERIAL EC from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arí Berger during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gilberto Santana stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute of the match Progresso got a corner. REAL IMPERIAL EC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Américo Toledo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Arí Berger was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 57 minutes into the match. 56 minutes into the game, one of REAL IMPERIAL EC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Américo Toledo placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Gernando Ortiz's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Luiz Fabiano Godoi firmly grabbed it by the left post. Hélio Lucas kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Elivélton Meireles made a great header on Progresso's corner, it was just that REAL IMPERIAL EC's Luiz Fabiano Godoi managed to reach the ball for a save. Gernando Ortiz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luiz Fabiano Godoi having to make a save. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the REAL IMPERIAL EC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
