The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Armandinho Bittencourt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudinei Cruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Zeca Vasconcelos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gildo Paranaense in the 12th minute of play. In the 14th minute of the match, Claudinei Cruz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Armandinho Bittencourt saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 16th minute, Antônio Varela left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Silveiras SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Antônio Varela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Armandinho Bittencourt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Silveiras SS's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo de Andrade came free, but Zeca Vasconcelos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Claudinei Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Antônio Varela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vespasiano's goalkeeper Armandinho Bittencourt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Ricardo de Andrade came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Vespasiano fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ricardo de Andrade couldn't finish the play. Antônio Varela struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Armandinho Bittencourt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Silveiras SS. Gildo Paranaense's late challenge caught a Silveiras SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gildo Paranaense helped the player get up and apologised.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Claudinei Cruz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Antônio Varela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In a very dangerous position, a player in Vespasiano fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 55th minute. Penalty! Edmílson de Amaral hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. The supporters of Silveiras SS booed when Vespasiano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denílson Baiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 66 played minutes Vespasiano got a freekick which was hit by Reginaldo de Lara. With a little luck, Silveiras SS's Zeca Vasconcelos got control of the ball when Gildo Paranaense tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 76th minute, Antônio Varela ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Armandinho Bittencourt was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Ricardo de Andrade struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Zeca Vasconcelos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vespasiano. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Claudinei Cruz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Silveiras SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudinei Cruz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Armandinho Bittencourt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Silveiras SS booed when Vespasiano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo de Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vespasiano's goalkeeper Armandinho Bittencourt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Antônio Varela recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Claudinei Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Vespasiano getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Edmílson de Amaral hit a great ball. Silveiras SS's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
