Percival Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Cobras Fumantes's zone, Germano Almeida stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Percival Monteiro came out of the goal and Germano Almeida tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 25 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Landi! In the 26th minute there was a penalty for Cobras Fumantes. Diogo Abreu stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving João Vítor Barral. 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Renatinho Ceresso got free with João Vítor Barral in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 35 played minutes Cobras Fumantes got a freekick which was hit by Nelsinho Trancoso. Lauro Ramalho hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Evaristo Sabóia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cobras Fumantes's supporters rose to their feet, but Evaristo Sabóia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. João Vítor Barral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Artur Figueiredo charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Artur Figueiredo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 48 minutes into the game, one of Landi:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lauro Ramalho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 59 minutes into the match, Cobras Fumantes's goalkeeper Percival Monteiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Germano Almeida. João Vítor Barral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evaristo Sabóia in the 62nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Landi defense, Evaristo Sabóia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of João Vítor Barral. The Landi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that João Vítor Barral should have stopped the shot. João Vítor Barral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evaristo Sabóia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 69 minutes into the match, Landi's goal looked a bit too open when Evaristo Sabóia came free, but João Vítor Barral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 73 minutes of play, Cobras Fumantes's Evaristo Sabóia made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. João Vítor Barral was left in no man's land by his defense there! Renatinho Ceresso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Vítor Barral having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diogo Abreu in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg João Vítor Barral saved Landi from getting behind. 82 minutes into the game, Benjamin Vasconcelos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Landi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cobras Fumantes the free kick. In the 84th minute, Renatinho Ceresso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Germano Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evaristo Sabóia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without João Vítor Barral having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Landi's Lauro Ramalho got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Cobras Fumantes's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
