Telha FC's Custódio Queiroz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Telha FC from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The supporters of Goias booed when Telha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Fernando Leite didn't get a good kick on the ball.
