Sebastião Pontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Bruno fc's Sebastião Pontes got control of the ball when Samuel Campidelis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jorginho Arruda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zé Pedro Pirani's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Bruno fc's Sebastião Pontes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Bruno fc from getting a goal against them. 11 minutes into the game, Joel de Castro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bruno fc's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cumbauba FC the free kick. Sebastião Pontes made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Samuel Campidelis sent off a good shot on target. Samuel Campidelis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luiz Eduardo Ramalho scored 2-0 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sebastião Pontes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sebastião Pontes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luiz Eduardo Ramalho in the 31st minute. Bruno fc's defense didn't have a chance, in the 32nd minute, when Samuel Campidelis scored to the left of an out of position Sebastião Pontes, making the score, 3-0. With a little luck, Bruno fc's Sebastião Pontes got control of the ball when Samuel Campidelis tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Luiz Eduardo Ramalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute Samuel Campidelis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastião Pontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd minute Cumbauba FC were awarded a corner. Samuel Campidelis went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Cumbauba FC's Panos Kilaidonis to fire away a dangerous shot which Sebastião Pontes despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 45th minute, Fabrício Fontes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luiz Eduardo Ramalho to strike the kick off in the second half. Jorginho Arruda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulão de Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 54th minute, Samuel Campidelis made a precise shot to the right of Sebastião Pontes. Bruno fc's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Cumbauba FC's Luiz Eduardo Ramalho got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 66th match minute, Bruno fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel de Castro to maneuver through the defense. Samuel Campidelis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastião Pontes having to interfere. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Cumbauba FC's goalkeeper Jorginho Arruda, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fabrício Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastião Pontes having to interfere. Jorginho Arruda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulão de Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Bruno fc's zone, Luiz Eduardo Ramalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastião Pontes came out of the goal and Luiz Eduardo Ramalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cumbauba FC's Fabrício Fontes got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 85 minutes into the match, Bruno fc's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Campidelis came free, but Sebastião Pontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cumbauba FC's Luiz Eduardo Ramalho got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fabrício Fontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cumbauba FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Samuel Campidelis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebastião Pontes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Luiz Eduardo Ramalho came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Cumbauba FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Eduardo Ramalho couldn't finish the play. Cumbauba FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
