An unexpectedly hard shot by Téo Sampaio in the 4th minute of play forced Carapotos FC's goalkeeper Dalmo de Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 6 minutes into the match, Carapotos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luisão Fernandez came free, but Dalmo de Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute Téo Sampaio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dalmo de Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Sport Club Baid booed when Carapotos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conrado de Senna didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Téo Sampaio put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Dalmo de Senna. With a little luck, Carapotos FC's Dalmo de Senna got control of the ball when Silvinho Reis tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 25 played minutes Sport Club Baid got a freekick which was hit by Luisão Fernandez. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Caio Barral during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Luisão Fernandez hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. After 31 played minutes Sport Club Baid got a freekick which was hit by Silvinho Reis. After a defensive mix-up in Carapotos FC's zone, Luisão Fernandez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dalmo de Senna came out of the goal and Luisão Fernandez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Téo Sampaio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sport Club Baid's supporters rose to their feet, but Téo Sampaio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dalmo de Senna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 43 minutes, Silvinho Reis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sport Club Baid's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silvinho Reis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Téo Sampaio to strike the kick off in the second half. Nilson Baiano hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Téo Sampaio in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dalmo de Senna prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dalmo de Senna didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Téo Sampaio went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Téo Sampaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luisão Fernandez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Carapotos FC's Delfim de Sousa got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Téo Sampaio might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dalmo de Senna. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Téo Sampaio ran back to his position shaking his head. Luisão Fernandez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Carapotos FC's Dalmo de Senna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Téo Sampaio in the 70th minute of play. Dalmo de Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Téo Sampaio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute Téo Sampaio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dalmo de Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Téo Sampaio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sport Club Baid's supporters rose to their feet, but Téo Sampaio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The audience was convinced that Téo Sampaio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dalmo de Senna was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. 86 minutes into the game, Téo Sampaio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Dalmo de Senna was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Téo Sampaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carapotos FC's Dalmo de Senna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Téo Sampaio in the 93rd minute of play. When Conrado de Senna came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Carapotos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Conrado de Senna couldn't finish the play. Sport Club Baid's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
