The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Angola EC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Rodriguinho Neto hit a great ball. Téo Sampaio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Sport Club Baid's Edmundo Mesquita got a free kick in the 13th minute. Leandro Silva struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Ernesto Piola didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Angola EC. Luisão Fernandez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Montenegro having to interfere. Luisão Fernandez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Manuel Montenegro having to make a save. 26 minutes into the game, Denílson Berger was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Angola EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sport Club Baid the free kick. A collision led to Angola EC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Denílson Berger hit a great ball. Téo Sampaios short, quick shot in the 27thth minute got Manuel Montenegro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A hard shot 29 in the game by Téo Sampaio from a close distance when the talented Manuel Montenegro managed to make a qualified save. Angola EC's players were relieved. After a defensive mix-up in Angola EC's zone, Caio Barral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Montenegro came out of the goal and Caio Barral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ernesto Piola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Falcão Peixoto in the 34th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Téo Sampaio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sport Club Baid's supporters rose to their feet, but Téo Sampaio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Montenegro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Silvinho Reis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ezequiel Félix to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Denílson Berger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Téo Sampaio took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manuel Montenegro. Manuel Montenegro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luisão Fernandez in the 60th minute of play forced Angola EC's goalkeeper Manuel Montenegro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roger Magalhães kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Manuel Montenegro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luisão Fernandez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luisão Fernandez in the 67th minute of play forced Angola EC's goalkeeper Manuel Montenegro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manuel Montenegro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luisão Fernandez in the 70th minute of the match. 72 minutes into the match, Sport Club Baid's goal looked a bit too open when Ezequiel Félix came free, but Ernesto Piola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luisão Fernandez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Téo Sampaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sport Club Baid's Ernesto Piola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ezequiel Félix in the 77th minute of play. Ernesto Piola made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodriguinho Neto in the 78th minute. 82 minutes into the match, Sport Club Baid's goal looked a bit too open when Ezequiel Félix came free, but Ernesto Piola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Angola EC's zone, Luisão Fernandez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Montenegro came out of the goal and Luisão Fernandez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Sport Club Baid's Téo Sampaio in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Angola EC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 86th match minute, Angola EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Catarinense to maneuver through the defense. Téo Sampaio might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manuel Montenegro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Téo Sampaio ran back to his position shaking his head. Sport Club Baid's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
