In the 10th match minute, Convento EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nelson Costa to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Lageadinho FC's Breno Garcia got a free kick in the 12th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Carlos Bastos in the 16th minute of play forced Lageadinho FC's goalkeeper Alan Veiga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 17 minutes, Breno Garcia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lageadinho FC and the Convento EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 17 played minutes Lageadinho FC got a freekick which was hit by Breno Garcia. Régis Gaspar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Alan Veiga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Régis Gaspar kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. When Armandinho de Alcântara came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Lageadinho FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armandinho de Alcântara couldn't finish the play. Romeu Ribeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alan Veiga having to interfere. In the 40th match minute, Convento EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evaristo Catarinense to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th match minute, Lageadinho FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Breno Garcia to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gualter de Queirós stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romeu Ribeiro in the 54th minute of play forced Lageadinho FC's goalkeeper Alan Veiga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Convento EC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Régis Gaspar hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Convento EC defense, Gualter de Queirós kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lauro Severo. The Convento EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lauro Severo should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonardo Neto in the 59th minute of play forced Convento EC's goalkeeper Lauro Severo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romeu Ribeiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alan Veiga. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Romeu Ribeiro ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Lageadinho FC booed when Convento EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nelson Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonardo Neto kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Convento EC's Romeu Ribeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 75th minute, Lino Prado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Romeu Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alan Veiga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Carlos Bastos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute, Romeu Ribeiro fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Alan Veiga, passed just outside the right post. 81 minutes into the game, Nelson Costa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Convento EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lageadinho FC the free kick. The supporters of Lageadinho FC booed when Convento EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nelson Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th minute, Hernani Araújo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Romeu Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Many of Convento EC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Convento EC may have spent more time on the ball, but Lageadinho FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
