After a defensive mix-up in Crissiumal SC's zone, Nicolas Saldanha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Natanael Terra came out of the goal and Nicolas Saldanha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 43 minutes into the match, Crissiumal SC's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolas Saldanha came free, but Natanael Terra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luizão Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Inácio Salgado charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Inácio Salgado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Inácio Salgado hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Tony Mello from long distance, 94 minutes into the match, got Natanael Terra's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After some careless play in the Crissiumal SC defense, Nicolas Saldanha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Natanael Terra. The Crissiumal SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Natanael Terra should have stopped the shot.
