After a defensive mix-up in Coimelemong's zone, Manoel Negri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jânio Baiano came out of the goal and Manoel Negri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sílvio Luís Diniz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Trancoso in the 5th minute of play. After 8 minutes, Arnaldo Fantini mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Coimelemong and the C4MP3R players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 8th minute, Arnaldo Fantini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Armandinho Severo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Jânio Baiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manoel Negri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jânio Baiano having to interfere. C4MP3R's Sidney Braga got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonas Trancoso kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Coimelemong's Jânio Baiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armandinho Severo in the 22nd minute of play. Jânio Baiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Eduardo Vieira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Claudinei Oliveira came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Coimelemong fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudinei Oliveira couldn't finish the play. Jonas Trancoso scored 1-0 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sílvio Luís Diniz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 34 minutes into the match, Arnaldo Fantini dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sílvio Luís Diniz, 2-0. Coimelemong's Jânio Baiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sidney Braga in the 44th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sidney Braga in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jânio Baiano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sidney Braga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes had been played when some careless play by Coimelemong's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sidney Braga was slow to take the kick. During this time C4MP3R's players had a chance to rest. 54 minutes into the match, C4MP3R's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Trancoso came free, but Sílvio Luís Diniz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th match minute, Coimelemong was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulinho Paulista to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Sidney Braga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jânio Baiano was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. C4MP3R's Manoel Negri got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 93rd minute Jonas Trancoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Luís Diniz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Manoel Negri fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C4MP3R's protests and gave Manoel Negri a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, C4MP3R's Manoel Negri got a free kick in the 94th minute. In the 95th minute Frank Ferraz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Luís Diniz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. C4MP3R's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Coimelemong had won, even though C4MP3R had held more of the ball.
