An unexpected shot in the 7th minute by Oscar Rossi got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a rather tough play, Clube Atlético Jalesense's Luizinho Correia got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 13th minute of the match Fred Cunha shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sebastião Mazza showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Oscar Rossi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Carlos Eduardo Cardoso made a huge save. 24 minutes into the game, Yuri Saraiva cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Sebastião Mazza was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 27th minute, Waldemar Linhares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yuri Saraiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sebastião Mazza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clóvis Secco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 46 played minutes Clube Atlético Jalesense got a freekick which was hit by Wanderson Mesquita.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yuri Saraiva to make the kick off. If Yuri Saraiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Timonha's Yuri Saraiva in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Sebastião Mazza was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 66 played minutes Timonha got a freekick which was hit by Waldemar Linhares. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Yuri Saraiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Timonha's supporters rose to their feet, but Yuri Saraiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebastião Mazza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Clube Atlético Jalesense's defense didn't have a chance, in the 76th minute, when Yuri Saraiva scored to the left of an out of position Sebastião Mazza, making the score, 0-3. 79 minutes into the game, Mateus Peres was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Timonha's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Clube Atlético Jalesense the free kick. After 79 played minutes Timonha got a freekick which was hit by Mateus Peres. A collision led to Timonha getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Mateus Peres hit a great ball. Timonha's Waldemar Linhares got his second yellow card of the match in the 94th minute. The referee ordered Waldemar Linhares off the ground. In the 94th minute, Waldemar Linhares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oscar Rossi in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlos Eduardo Cardoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Clube Atlético Jalesense supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Timonha's performance. The match ended with a win for Timonha.
