The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luizão Fernandez during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Elói Ramos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aureo Cisternas having to interfere. Elói Ramos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Aureo Cisternas made a huge save. In the 15th minute, Elói Ramos reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Aureo Cisternas. The goal made the score 2-0. With an all-out effort, Oxford United Fc's Aureo Cisternas threw himself towards the right post 22 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Franklin Fontes, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Wiliam Lopes lost his temper 29 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 28th minute of the game. One of Contracto SC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Oxford United Fc:s goal. Aureo Cisternas had in the 31stth minute some difficulties stopping Betinho da Mata's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. José Pedro Vieira kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. André Luiz Couto came free in the 39th minute and tried to tip the ball over Abelardo Botelho, but to the joy of Oxford United Fc's supporters the ball went over. Elói Ramos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Aureo Cisternas made a huge save. Aureo Cisternas was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Franklin Fontes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 47 minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Cesinha Vale hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Sydney Rezende's late challenge caught a Contracto SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sydney Rezende helped the player get up and apologised. In the 55th minute, Sydney Rezende hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Franklin Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aureo Cisternas having to interfere. After some careless play in the Contracto SC defense, Elói Ramos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aureo Cisternas. The Contracto SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aureo Cisternas should have stopped the shot. Elói Ramos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aureo Cisternas having to interfere. Bebeto Loureiro's late challenge caught a Oxford United Fc's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bebeto Loureiro helped the player get up and apologised. Aureo Cisternas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franklin Fontes in the 72nd minute of the match. André Luiz Couto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Abelardo Botelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aureo Cisternas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franklin Fontes in the 79th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Elói Ramos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aureo Cisternas. Contracto SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elói Ramos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Bebeto Loureiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. André Luiz Couto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Botelho having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franklin Fontes in the 96th minute of play forced Contracto SC's goalkeeper Aureo Cisternas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Contracto SC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Oxford United Fc.
