The Oxford United Fc fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Jano do Valle did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Abelardo Botelho 6 minutes into the match. In the 14thth minute of the game Jano do Valle who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Oxford United Fc's Abelardo Botelho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 17th minute Jano do Valle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Botelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jano do Valle in the 27th minute of play forced Oxford United Fc's goalkeeper Abelardo Botelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Franklin Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olavo Carneiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Oxford United Fc's Abelardo Botelho got control of the ball when Olavo Carneiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Olavo Carneiro kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 47thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Oxford United Fc's keeper Abelardo Botelho was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Franklin Fontes was the one to do the kick off. If Jano do Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Jano do Valle fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Macayo's protests and gave Jano do Valle a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Macayo's Jano do Valle got a free kick in the 57th minute. After 61 played minutes Oxford United Fc got a freekick which was hit by Adhemar Teixeira. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Olavo Carneiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Macayo's supporters rose to their feet, but Olavo Carneiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abelardo Botelho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Jano do Valle put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Abelardo Botelho. 67 minutes into the match, Macayo's goal looked a bit too open when Franklin Fontes came free, but Elder Tepedino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian de Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After having played for 71 minutes, Jano do Valle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Macayo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jano do Valle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jano do Valle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Botelho having to interfere. Betinho da Mata kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Macayo's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
