Felipe da Fonseca might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Agnaldo Sousa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felipe da Fonseca ran back to his position shaking his head. Rafael Teixeira kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Maurinho França's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Agnaldo Sousa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Agnaldo Sousa made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Rafael Teixeira sent off a good shot on target. Maurinho França received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Agnaldo Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd match minute, Surrao AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgard Favoretto to maneuver through the defense. If Ezequiel Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ezequiel Pires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Caetano Salgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute Fausto Simão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caetano Salgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Centenário Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe da Fonseca came free, but Agnaldo Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Maurinho França had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Centenário Futebol Clube's zone, Felipe da Fonseca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Agnaldo Sousa came out of the goal and Felipe da Fonseca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Felipe da Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Felipe da Fonseca was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Ezequiel Pires got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carlos Alberto Paranaense's late challenge caught a Centenário Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Alberto Paranaense helped the player get up and apologised. After 54 played minutes Surrao AD got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Alberto Paranaense. A collision led to Centenário Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Abelardo Amorim hit a great ball. 63 minutes into the match, Centenário Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe da Fonseca came free, but Agnaldo Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Surrao AD's goal looked a bit too open when Ezequiel Pires came free, but Caetano Salgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felipe da Fonseca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Felipe da Fonseca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Agnaldo Sousa was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. Centenário Futebol Clube's Ezequiel Pires got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Fausto Simão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After taking down the ball on Surrao AD's corner Kiko Arósio fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Agnaldo Sousa quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurinho França in the 91st minute of play forced Centenário Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Agnaldo Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fausto Simão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Caetano Salgado made a huge save. Carlos Alberto Paranaense got his second yellow card in the match during the 94th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Carlos Alberto Paranaense kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
