When Aloísio Ortiz came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the FAMILIA SDL fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aloísio Ortiz couldn't finish the play. If Felipe Quadros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aloísio Ortiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christiano Dionísio having to interfere. 19 minutes into the match, FAMILIA SDL's goal looked a bit too open when Arlindo Zonta came free, but Ernani Salgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 21 minutes had been played when some careless play by FAMILIA SDL's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Beto Antunes was slow to take the kick. During this time Veodos's players had a chance to rest. Zézinho de Mendonça tried in the game's 21st match minute to clear up in front of his own goal but it went so bad that he put the ball into the goal to the left of an unhappy Ernani Salgado. An annoying self made goal, 1-0. An unexpected shot in the 25th minute by Amadeu Arósio got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Deivid Quintal during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 26th match minute, FAMILIA SDL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Deivid Quintal to maneuver through the defense. Ernani Salgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arlindo Zonta, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Ernani Salgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rony Prado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute, Rony Prado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Felipe Quadros to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, FAMILIA SDL's goal looked a bit too open when Rony Prado came free, but Ernani Salgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 53 minutes into the game, Veodos's Amadeu Arósio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ernani Salgado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Ernani Salgado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amadeu Arósio, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Ernani Salgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rony Prado in the 58th minute of play. If Aloísio Ortiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. Aloísio Ortiz was extremely unlucky when he, in the 61st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 2-1 became the score in the 65th minute when Aloísio Ortiz elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 68th minute, Carlos Fernando de Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. André Luiz Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Christiano Dionísio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ernani Salgado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. When Juvenal da Silva fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Veodos's protests and gave Juvenal da Silva a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of FAMILIA SDL booed when Veodos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juvenal da Silva didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 97th minute Felipe Quadros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christiano Dionísio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Veodos were victorious despite being under pressure from FAMILIA SDL for much of the match.
