Donatello Maranhense stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabiano Gaúcho's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. Donatello Maranhense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Soares in the 8th minute of the match. Fabiano Gaúcho might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Donatello Maranhense. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fabiano Gaúcho ran back to his position shaking his head. Silas Damião received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Donatello Maranhense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Donatello Maranhense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabiano Gaúcho, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Fabiano Gaúcho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Donatello Maranhense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Silas Damião had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabiano Gaúcho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 38 minutes, Fabiano Gaúcho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Parada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabiano Gaúcho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fabiano Gaúcho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Donatello Maranhense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Donatello Maranhense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silas Damião, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabiano Gaúcho in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Donatello Maranhense saved A.C.Universidad from getting behind. After the first half Parada were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Claudinei Zilles to make the kick off. Silas Damião could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Donatello Maranhense made a huge save. Parada were awarded a corner in the 59th minute after A.C.Universidad's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Edvaldo Fernandes took the corner. After 60 minutes, Deivid Fernandes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the A.C.Universidad and the Parada players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, A.C.Universidad's Deivid Fernandes got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 63rdth minute of the game Fabiano Gaúcho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A.C.Universidad's Donatello Maranhense was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 70th minute, Silas Damião got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabiano Gaúcho in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Donatello Maranhense saved A.C.Universidad from getting behind. In the 81st minute, Fabiano Gaúcho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Donatello Maranhense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabiano Gaúcho in the 83rd minute of play. Silas Damião sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Parada's Silas Damião got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 88 minutes into the match, Parada's Fabiano Gaúcho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Donatello Maranhense narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Silas Damião fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donatello Maranhense having to interfere. Parada's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
