Donatello Maranhense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ezequiel Severo in the 14th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, A.C.Universidad's goal looked a bit too open when Ezequiel Severo came free, but Donatello Maranhense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ezequiel Severo came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Corinthians Spor Kulubu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ezequiel Severo couldn't finish the play. Nelsinho da Silva hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Silas Cordeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A.C.Universidad's Donatello Maranhense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silas Cordeiro in the 57th minute of play. Ezequiel Severo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Donatello Maranhense made a huge save. Ezequiel Severo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Donatello Maranhense having to make a save. Luiz Fabiano de Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Donatello Maranhense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ezequiel Severo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donatello Maranhense having to interfere. After having played for 84 minutes, Erivaldo Lopez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Corinthians Spor Kulubu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erivaldo Lopez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Donatello Maranhense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silas Cordeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Silas Cordeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
