In the 7th minute Gilmar Marquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roberto Dinamite saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roberto Dinamite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Svetozar Mirkov in the 17th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Eliézer Travassos managed to get in a good position for a shot. GUIRATINGA F. C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Eliézer Travassos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nuno Ramos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aílton Rocha to make the kick off. Thiago Porto lost his temper 53 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Astrum fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 52nd minute. Penalty! The referee gave GUIRATINGA F. C. a penalty, 54 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Romário Gaspar, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Astrum's Nuno Ramos. 2-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilmar Maia in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nuno Ramos saved Astrum from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ivo Saraiva during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 62nd minute, Ivo Saraiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gilmar Maia took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nuno Ramos. Nuno Ramos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Roberto Dinamite showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilmar Marquez, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. After 73 minutes, Ivo Saraiva made it 3-2 with a short kick to the right side. GUIRATINGA F. C.'s Roberto Dinamite tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 88 minutes into the match, GUIRATINGA F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Svetozar Mirkov came free, but Roberto Dinamite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ivo Saraiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Astrum's Ivo Saraiva got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nuno Ramos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vivaldo Barbosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Astrum's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
